Welcome

Welcome to Castle Rock Labradors

The purpose of my select breeding program was started almost 7 years ago, when I purchased Major Rock of Castle Rock. My philosophy now is the same as it was 7 years ago, to own a dog that is obedient; and a champion in the field as well as on the stage. My desire to breed Major to a perfect dame led me to his mate, Gracie’s Blue Belle of Castle Rock. Gracie’s Blue Belles’ qualities and disposition are those of Major’s.

Welcome

Major is a fourth generation champion that comes from a long history of field champions. His background includes first and second generation rescue dogs that have been appointed in Portland, Oregon.  The sire of Major, Rocky, was featured in Ducks Unlimited and Dog & Kennel Magazine
Major is a champion in the field and maintains his JH title.  At the impressive age of 6 months old, Major displayed his champion- like traits by tracking his first deer.  In one of his field trials, he earned “Best in Show”. He maintains the very unusual but superb ability to be able to track a wounded deer in one instance and to retrieve any type of water fowl the next. Major has been televised in hunting shows; he’s participated in CSE Outdoors hunting show multiple times for duck and deer hunting excursions.

Welcome

Gracie’s Blue Belle of Castle Rock is 2 ½ years old and her preliminary OFA hips and elbows are listed as good to excellent. The sire to Belle was the world famous, Cuda Blue RyderRider was a field champion and was known as the most decorated chocolate Labrador in AKC history.  Belle comes from four generations of field champions and will some day in her own rite carry on the same tradition.
